Groups
1. All Sunday School Classes
We have Sunday School classes for all ages from preschool to adult. All Sunday School classes have adjourned for the Summer and will resume in September.
2. Passages
This is a women's fellowship group open to all women who like to share. They meet and eat on the first Thursday of each month at a local restaurant. They also have an annual retreat to connect and restore!
3. United Methodist Men
The UMM hold a fourth Saturday monthly men's breakfast at a restaurant for fellowship and fun. The group also plans activities for the entire church, such as an annual Valentine's Day dinner party, and activities for its members such as a retreat. The UMM also maintain the church grounds and perform other helpful chores around the church.
4. Feed the Hungry
The TUMC has a long history of providing meals through local soup kitchens. When the Bread and Roses kitchen merged with the Salvation Army program to feed the hungry, our crew has continued to prepare a wonderful supper the fourth Thursday of each month. Approximately 150 persons are fed through this program each evening.
5.Choir
The chancel choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7pm and prior to the worship service each Sunday. Our organist and music director provide fine leadership for the choir. New members are very welcome! The choir has adjourned for the summer, will start up again in September
6. Softball
The Independent Church League (ICL) 2008 softball season will run from the middle of June to the end of August. Your TUMS team plans to field another Co-ed team again next year. We would like to have a least 20 players on our roster just in case, so we have enough people be at every game. Next year youth can play if they turn 13 anytime before September 1, 2008. Our goal is to have fun and fellowship, so please join us as a player or a fan. We go to Dairy Queen after every game, win or lose! Registration fees are $25 per player next year. 7. Stichery for Others: This group meets as a ministry creating various items for others in need.
